"The Secret" has been a publishing success with a record of over 32 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller List. It has spawned seminars and discussion groups around the world. Working from a simple message that we control everything in our life by the images we hold in our mind, it reinforces the dominate Western cultural myth that our ego consciousness is the Alpha and Omega.

Standing in sharp contrast to this myth is the Jungian journey to individuation and the Self. Jung believed that our consciousness arises out of the unconscious and the integration of unconscious elements into consciousness was the work of a life time and the only sure road to wholeness. We will explore the dynamics of these two myths and their implications for individuals and the future of our culture and world.
