In Jungian Analysis, much emphasis is given to how one approaches the unconscious as a means of healing, transformation and spiritual enhancement. In an analysis one comes face-to-face with the complex and archetypal content, which can be powerful and illuminating, and bring numinous blessings, but can also be destructive and overwhelming. This lecture will explore the process of analysis and the approach to the complex and archetypal content of the unconscious through the process of Association, Amplification, Active Imagination and Application.
GALIN McGOWAN, Ph.D., Jungian Analyst, is a diploma graduate of the C. G. Jung Institute, Zurich, Switzerland. She has been a practicing analyst for 15 years, assisting those called to the depth process of working with symbolic content of the unconscious. She provides supportive guidance to classical analysis, working with each individual’s unique process of psychological development. Additionally, her practice includes the integration of biofeedback/neurofeedback, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), sand-tray and creative structure to support the psyche in transformation.
